About Virginia Pooler

Over the years I’ve been a UN ambassador, nanny, accountant, FBI agent, sheepdog, and on some days a dramatically overconfident high school student.

Those were characters.

My actual career began in commercial production, wrangling creative teams and impossible deadlines. These days I’ve traded production schedules for the writing life, working as a content writer and storyteller.

Here you’ll find human-interest stories, reflections on the writing process, and essays about life’s unexpected transitions—including my recent series on navigating change after sixty.

I also write adult and young adult mysteries set firmly in the real world—no vampires, ghosts, or magical creatures in sight. Just people, secrets, and the trouble they get into.

Because sometimes the most interesting mysteries are the ones we live through.

Love your intro, Virginia. I popped by as a warm/fuzzy courtesy for following my blog but, geez, I’m glad I did. Thought I would simply “like” your blog but you got me at “UN Ambassador.”
